My cousin in law (Shane), who is married to my “cousin” (Charity) who is not technically my cousin, has his own company.

I’m very excited to see how his business grows and develops. He is the director of photography on a tv series just picked up by PAX. Charity, you’ll need to tell me when it starts.

I look forward to the day when I can say, “I knew Shane when . . .” You would dig yourself into a hole during lunches at BJ - especially the discussion about Charity’s hair. You tried to teach me how to play tennis. You tell me right before I march for graduation that you proposed.
Ah, yes, good times!!!!

I miss you guys

Shopping Manners

Mon15January2007

Over the past few weeks while working at EB I am just continually amazed at the laziness of people. I know we are paid to fold clothes and straighten the store; but out of common decency - where are your manners??

I want to say to people - “who were your parents?” So might I throw out a thought to you parents, future parents, parent wannabes? Kids are taught manners for eating and talking to people - teach them how to shop too.

You may not know how we fold the clothes but an attempt would be nice. So when you pull the XXL out from the bottom of the pile of nicely folded sweaters so that the top six sweaters fall on the floor because you didn’t want to use two hands to nicely pull out the size of choice; pick up the sweaters and at least put them back on the table.

Or when you take half of the store into the changing room with you and decide to get nothing: here’s a concept - take the clothes with you and hand them to an associate. It kind of follows that whole - if you take it out - put it back “thing”.

Again I say, “Who are you people and who were your parents?”

Quote to make you think

Wed3January2007

I think I heard this quote from Lisa Madson, who was probably quoting someone else but anyway; she said that there are three sides to every story:

Theirs

Yours

and then the Truth.

Isn’t that really true?? Are any of us truly objective when sharing an experience? Anyway, I usually take what most people say with a grain of salt but even more so after I heard this saying. Good stuff.

The Holidays

Hi everyone. As some of you may know I suprised Elisabeth on December 14th. I actually pulled it off. I didn’t know if I could do it and it was awesome!!! I so miss my dear friend. We had good times and I really wish we had Dunkin’ Doughnuts up here. Oh, and the big drama of the trip was that we got kicked out of Caribou Coffee (who closes at 9pm on a Saturday in downtown Atlanta?????).

Christmas was great. We got to see Cassy sing in the children’s choir and she sang every word - very dear. Joel and Ashley came home so I got to spend some time with them which was really nice. Hi J/A. Wish we could get together more often.

I was very excited to get to see Charity and Shane - I didn’t think it was going to happen and then we ended up eating at the same restaurant at the MOA. Really, what are the odds????:)

Julia’s engaged!!! Yeah for Julia. Aaron - you’re a good kid so you’ll do for Julia. Glad to have you join our crazy family.

New Year’s kinda got snowed in so it was a long day - but it was nice to actually see snow.

Anyway, I’m still looking for a job and everything is still pretty much the same.
