Moving

Mon28August2006

Again, this is going to be short b/c of my current time constraints;)

Tomorrow is moving day! Yeah, I’m looking forward to going to bed at a decent hour. My mom and dad and Craig and his family and some of my church family are going to help me move into my new place tomorrow. I’m excited but stressed too. If you haven’t already you can check out my new apartment/facilies following the link in the previous post (or post before that:)

Anyway, that’s what’s new.
I’m also very excited about tonight. We are having a very special MK event this evening and if everyone comes I will have 6 guests. One of which is a good possibility of being my first team member. I am so excited. We’ll see what happens.

Words of Wisdom

Tue22August2006

The boss is away . . . >) and I have all my work done so I decided that I’ll make a quick entry.
I signed up for a preview edition of the new Hallmark Magazine. I must say that I really like it. I’m mean really, it’s Hallmark - it has to be good (just like Sunrise Crystal Lite, right Elisabeth?)

Anyway, I found some great pearls of truth and some things humorous and thought I would pass them along.

* Pretty much everything we say is fyi - so do we really need a big announcement?

* People often say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder… I say the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing that you are the beholder.” - salma hayek

* “A good home must be made, not bought” - joyce maynard

* “Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get, only with what you are expecting to give . . . which is everything.” - katherine hepburn

* Golf wear is the disturbing thing that happens when men take an interest in fashion.

* “What a wonderful life I’ve had; I only wish I had realized it sooner!” - colette

* “If everyone just returned his or her metaphorical [grocery] cart, the world would be a better place.” -amy wilentz

* Great Historical Events that Never Happened: Two world leaders agreed to settle their differences with a spelling bee.

* Don’t tires rotate themselves every time the car is driven?

New News:

So here’s the latest update: the situation with my job is changing so I can’t really access the internet during the day. So until I move into my new apartment I probably won’t be able to update my blog as frequently as I would like.

This past week has been insane and I just want to say I have an awesome family. My parents and Craig, since he’s the brother I talked to, have really just been great. I’m writing this Sunday afternoon and for those of you that know me - you know it’s been a VERY busy, crazy week when I am taking time out of my nap time to update my blog of all things.

So, I am really disappointed that I won’t be able to banter with you all as much as would be fun but this phase won’t be forever.

Oh, and Shanna- absolutely, if you come up for that conference you could stay with me - if you would like to.
Talk to you all later. I’m going to go and take a nap, abreviated as it may be:)

Jehovah Jireh!!!

Fri11August2006

Wow! Wow! Wow! Is all I can say. I have found my new home. You can kind of get a look at this place by clicking here.
The rent listed is not what I will be paying because it will be a sub-lease for 9 months. This place is A-mazing!! Ya’ll definitely need to come and visit me so we can work out in the gym or get the personal trainer to give us some tips, go swimming, sit in the hot-tub and sauna, surf the web in the business center and print out our itinerary for free!!! It sounds too good to be true doesn’t it??
I’m thrilled. It’s really amazing how this all just came together and the only words appropriate is Jehovah Jireh!!

Remember when . . .

Cameron and Cassy were too cute for words?

Elisabeth and I hung out just like everybody else?
just like everyone else
and were like in-seperable and had really good hair?? Elisabeth and me at church

As if you couldn’t tell - it takes me a while to finish off a roll of film. (i.e. Cassy is now 4 and Cameron is 7).

It’s always something

Wed2August2006

Little did I realize while I was being inspired a week ago that my faith would be put to the test so soon.

Coming out of Seminar I’m taking a step of faith and courage to put both feet into my business. My goal is to find 8 women this month that the Mary Kay opportunity is right for them. That’s a big, big goal.

One of the women at seminar said, “It’s only when things seem impossible that we let God into our plans”. Well, I have a seeming impossible goal ahead of me but I am excited to see where my determination and dependence on God will take me.

Well I got home on Saturday and opened my mail to find out that my lease was up and they were raising my rent by $75 and it was starting the beginging of August. I cannot afford that at all!!! So I have made the decision to move.

So now I have two major situations in my life right now vying for my attention and time. I do not know how it is all going to work out. And as another Mary Kay speaker said, “after you get done crying, then what are you going to do”? So I cried and then made up my mind that I am going all out on this. Whatever happens - happens. There is always going to be something in life; the lights are never green the whole way. So in spite of my fear I’m going to do it anyway.
